Weekly Writing Circles

Delve into the craft in a facilitated safe space  

Are you a writer in search of motivation, community and structure? If so, our Weekly Writing Circles might just be the thing for you! 

​

Our circles are suitable for writers of poetry, prose and creative non-fiction. The circles are designed for beginner to intermediate writers. No prior experience in writing is required, but a good command of English would be beneficial. 

​

At our circles, we aim to help you: 

 

  • Explore your creativity

  • Gain confidence in presenting your ideas to a group

  • Connect with like-minded writers, and

  • Feel inspired and encouraged in moving forward with your writing

​

Each weekly session will have a theme of its own, and will include:  

 

  • Guided writing exercises  

  • Facilitated small circle discussions 

  • Short readings (required reading to complete before or during the session) 

  • Break times

Dates: 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th Apr, 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th May  

 

Time: 9.30am - 12.30pm* on Saturdays   ​

 

Location: Your MOTHER Gallery, 26A Rowell Road. Nearest MRT - Farrer Park.  ​

 

Only 8 slots available per session! 

​

Recommended for ages 18 and up. 

 

*Do note that there will be a 30 min cut-off time for latecomers.
